Making the most of www.intensive-driving.com
Instructors often ask how they can get more pupils via our web
site. There is no single answer but the steps that you can take
are surprisingly simple.
Keep your details up to date
Particularly ensure that your ADI registration expiry date is
correct. You will not be sent any enquiries if the system shows
it has expired.
If your Email address or mobile number is out of date we will not
be able to contact you with lesson requests and potential pupils
will not be able to contact you through the Directory
Cover lots of Postcode areas.
Widening your catchment area will increase the pool of available
enquiries. Be prepared to travel a little further out. Get out along
the motorways and A roads. Travel to the next town and cover the
villages between.
Out of town pupils often struggle to find an instructor who will
come out to them even when they are prepared to pay more for lessons.
Full day intensive courses can be ideal for out of town pupils.
Less time is spent commuting and more time focused on the topics
under instruction. Often pupils are willing to travel to lessons
by public transport if the lesson time will be used more effectively.
Offer intensive courses
Not providing intensive courses will instantly rule you out of
more than half the enquiries that we receive. We define an intensive
course as being 2 or more hours per day. A semi-intensive course
is more than 2 hours per week. With a little advanced notice neither
of these need be two difficult to accommodate.
Relatively few instructors provide intensive courses nationwide
so pupils do expect to pay a little more as a result. Showing a
rate for intensive courses will greatly increase the number of introductions
available to you.
Respond quickly.
When you receive either a lesson request. Lesson requests are automatically
sent by email to ALL instructors registered with the site providing
the tuition requested at the hourly rate shown within the postcode
area. The lesson request can only be claimed by ONE instructor therefore
it essential that you respond quickly. Having claimed the lesson
request make contact with the enquirer as soon as possible. When
lesson requests are made the site makes informs the enquirer that
it may take up to seven days for an instructor to make contact but
experience shows that the sooner you make contact the more likely
the introductory lesson and subsequent lessons will take place.
Get online on the move
Instructors who can access the internet from the car have a distinct
advantage in the race to claim a lesson request especially if alerted
by an SMS message. Click
here to find out more about internet on the move.
Upgrade your subscription to Silver or Gold
Lesson requests are automatically emailed to ALL instructors registered
with the site. However those with Silver or Gold subscription also
receive an SMS message to their mobile phones. Silver and Gold subscribers
have a real advantage when it comes to enquiries from the Directory
of Driving Instructors. Bronze subscriber entries will only display
for their home postcode whereas Silver and Gold subscriber entries
display for ALL the postcode areas that they cover and above the
Bronze entries too.
Get a web site.
Nearly half of all driving tests are now booked on line. The internet
is changing the face of industries as diverse as insurance and music.
When a potential pupil finds an entry in our Directory do you think
they are more likely to telephone and wait for a call back for more
information – or click on a web link? A web site that shows what
geographical area you cover, the type of tuition that you provide,
your terms and conditions, lesson prices and a way to make contact
or a booking need not be expensive.
